Colorado Affiliate of the NVRHA

Picture
The National Versatility Ranch Horse Association was founded in Colorado in 2007 and the Colorado affiliate is the largest in the nation.  Our primary objective is to provide an educational, fun and safe opportunity for riders to improve horsemanship while preserving the great American Ranch Horse traditions.  The NVRHA was formed to be the starting place for anyone interested, at any level with any horse and still providing an opportunity for those wishing to take competition to the next level.  Our typical format is a weekend clinic combined with a schooling competition.  The weekends will be focused on the skills a typical horse on the ranch would be expected to perform.  Classes include Ranch Riding, Ranch Trail, Ranch Cutting and Working Ranch.  Additionally, a unique conformation class, which judges the horse on "form to function", is also part of the program.

The key to our program is to provide education first and foremost, followed by a schooling competition in a more stress free environment.  Regardless of the skill level, the event's primary focus will be the education and enjoyment of the adventure.  A social get-together on Saturday night is always part of the program where you can get to know your fellow versatility enthusiasts as well as talk further with the clinicians.  We keep our clinician to participant ratio low so you will get a lot of personal attention.  Come join the fun, challenge yourself and your horse, and  learn something new.  The NVRHA is a 501c3 non-profit organization.

We are looking forward to 2012 with an exciting set of clinic/competition events.  New this year is a Limited Division - brand new - it is a whole set of classes for the rider who has advanced from the Novice division, but doesn't want to "go down the fence" or rope.  This class will also meet the requirements of those who show in the NRCHA Limited classes and will preserve their status for the Limited event.
